Title: Ideal Family Accommodation in the Heart of San Pedro de Atacama
For families with young children, my kids wished there were some outdoor play equipment or a small play area at the hostel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, organizing tours that were suitable for all ages. They even provided snacks to take on early morning tours. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a busy day exploring.
For dads, it would be great if there were more family-friendly activities on site.

Despite a small setback of a stolen bike and a few maintenance issues, our stay at Hostal Illauca De Atacama was enjoyable. The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was delicious and the spacious room provided a comfortable stay. Although the location was a bit far, the walk to town was manageable. I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms were clean and newly refurbished. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the center. What I really liked was the fact that they had a kitchen available for use, which was great for preparing our own meals and saving some money. Plus, they even provided a packed breakfast for our early start days, which was a nice touch. the hotel offered good value for money and made our stay comfortable.
To our experience. The towels had strange stains, which was not very pleasant.

The double room was perfect for our family, with a private bathroom and a shower. We loved that certain rooms had a safety deposit box, making us feel secure and at ease. The room had a kitchenware and a private entrance, making it feel like a little home away from home. Each room had its own private bathroom and shower, providing convenience and privacy. We appreciated that certain rooms at the hotel had a safety deposit box for added security. The kitchenware in this double room was a great feature, allowing us to cook and enjoy meals together. The cable TV in this double room was a nice addition, providing entertainment during our downtime.
Personally, I found the tile/marble floor in the room a bit chilly, but others may enjoy its coolness.

The double room at Hostal Illauca De Atacama was great! The private bathroom with a shower was a nice touch, especially after a long day of exploring. I also loved having a kitchenette with all the necessary kitchenware. The room had a cozy and comfortable feel to it, perfect for winding down.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the cable TV in the room. I prefer disconnecting from technology while on vacation.

We found the perfect hostel for our stay in the desert! It's located on the edges of town, which gave us a peaceful and quiet atmosphere to relax. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean, with fresh towels and toiletries provided. The service was outstanding, with the owner and staff going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The breakfast was a delightful surprise, with a variety of delicious options to start our day. Plus, we enjoyed the beautiful view from the rooftop terrace.
The hostel had a bit of a distance from the city center, requiring a short walk to reach the main streets and shops.

The hostel had exceptionally clean rooms and breakfast room. There was a small shaded outside area to relax, and a viewing platform for great desert and mountain views. Staff was helpful, responsive, and friendly. Spacious room, daily cleaning, take-away breakfast, well-equipped kitchen, laundry services.
Felt more than at home, no complaints at all.
